Some time ago we shew you the use of Kinect as a possible remote controller for home entertainment. Now, it looks like the technology has improved quite a bit and its competitors (Leap Motion and their Leap 3D) has made this technology more precise and fast:
The truth is that its a well-designed solution and it’s useful… but not applicble everywhere.
Samsung has something similar:
It can be very good for public presentations and speeches, for browsing screens and apps that have been specifically design for this kind of interactions, apps to be managed with your hands and those sensors. But if you want to lean back on a sofa and watch video, it looks like nothing beats (if we can make an interface that is well design and integrated) the tablets as companion screens.
